I imagine in perfect conditions I may be able to pick up some intelligible noise at a mile. They did work really good once adjusted properly. They have made this gun useless as it is so weedy, makes a shit noise and on the internet drags! Do you see what im getting at? SPEAKERS NOISE!!
As well I was having problems with the system buzzing in unison with RPMs, I fixed that with a little noise filter on the power line. It seems that the internal noise gate is the problem. It just can't handle the noise-floor, which leads to a anoying result (a crackling digital noise). With the internal noise gate off, and a rocktron hush, the results are much better. When I play my guitar over a pair of speakers, the A1 sounds really great.

It's a very quiet card, noise-wise. One somewhat anoying factor I have discovered is that the 3 surround sound amplifiers are very noisy compared to the L and R amps. If I put the deck in Pro Logic surround sound I also have a problem in that I have some remote speakers in another room woth about 50 to 75 feet of speaker wire connecting to it.
