... the system makesmakes a loud buzz (through the speakers) while the program is '>thinking'. Any ideas on how to play sound files without the annoying noise? I don't get a hissing but I do get a little anoying static and pop. Similar to an old phongraph record. I am attributing it to just a crappy microphone.

It shouldn't happen, but is relatively common - Something as simple as careless internal cable routing can cause 50Hz noise. That said, you've paid your money and are entitled to a noise-free set. I had a Sanyo 28" WS and had 50Hz buzzing on both speakers - it wasn't loud, but was anoying at low volumes.

The filter would have to take 5 speaker wire inputs and remove the high pitch ringing sound and output to 5 speaker wires. I do find the notion of a CD changer, while it seems cool, is actually anoying because I don't have a way to play a CD without stopping the car, On my 944, I got no factory radio, installed my own and swapped out the really awuful factory speakers for something else - a stereo is an easy after market thing,

The track that the seats slide on have a little tab. I also notice there is a nut under and over. I would need a super slip 18mm open end wrench? 2: I hear the anoying engine whine when the radio is off. It comes through the speakers at first I thought it was the diff. how do I kill the whine.

... anoying sound wich was interpreted by the authorised dealer as a "wind noise produced by channels on the roof". He also told me that it can't be fixed. I would like to point out that it doesn't seem to me like wind noise at all but rather like some electrical interferences coming from the dashboard or speakers.

... the game makes a very loud and anoying sound that doesn't quit.. quickly turning the game off and back on makes the noise go away, and the sounds again are ok, And as for "pounding the speakers" well.. I don't mind pounding certain things, but speakers aren't one of them.. Thanks for the advice anyway.. Vinny.

Ben Talbot ben_tal...@ntlworld.com uk media home-cinema I acknowledged that the humming was a fault, it's the slight hiss from the speaker's when the volume is off (using the dimmer function) and the noise stoped completely, there is still a slight hiss though, but no where near as anoying as this huming sound.

You drive a speaker with an AC signal (Audio frequencies - siganal usually from an Amplifier of some sort) then you get the sound of the frequencies from the speaker as it vibrates the air around the speaker. You want as little DC in the signal as possible or you will hear an anoying Hummmmmmmmm noise.

I wonder if the modem speaker is actually on the modem card itself. It must be a very tiny speaker, but it sure makes alot of noise! Chip Is a Quiz like a Poll,Chip? The problem, however, is that I am getting some extraneous noise from the speakers (or headphones) when a CD is in the CD-ROM drive but not actually playing something from the drive. The sound is something like a rythmic putt putt putt sound. Very anoying! If I pop out the CD, the noise stops.

I can hear that hum you are talking about it is anoying ...it sounds like yiou have the volume set very high on mic setting or you have aplies more Thanks Keith I didnt hear any background noise though. Don't get the SB32, stick with SB16 - sounds better.
No throaty rumble, just an anoying blat blat blat. I can't imagine that a damaged muffler given an unscientific whack is going to improve anything. Free noise is free noise...you get exactly what ya pay for <sfsf>. He pays $16000 for a new bike, and he don't want to spend $200-$600 for a decent exhaust.

Note: This happens only when the car is cold When I start up my car and adjust the volume there is an excesive amount of staticy noise - really loud and anoying.
